Metzler Equities at top position in Broker Ranking

Handelsblatt and the US research company Starmine announce awards for the best securities firms and analysts for German equities

In the overall evaluation for the 2011 Analysts Prize, Metzler Equities achieved top place with a total of eight distinctions.

Jürgen Pieper was awarded the Best Analyst prize for his equity recommendations in the Automobile sector. In the category "Best Equity Recommendations", Lars Hettche and Ulrich Trabert were each awarded second place – Hettche in the Chemicals sector, Trabert in the Software & IT Services sector. Lars Hettche also achieved first place for the accuracy of his earnings estimates for industrial stocks and third place for chemical stocks. With their achievements, all three Metzler analysts also occupied leading places in the overall evaluation for equity recommendations and earnings estimates.

For the last five years Metzler Equities has continually belonged to the Top Ten of the analysts ranking of Handelsblatt and Starmine. The Metzler analysts asserted their leads among 257 equity experts from a total of 178 securities firms covered by the survey.

The basis for the evaluation is an analysis produced for Handelsblatt by the US American research company Starmine, a subsidiary of Thomson Reuters.
